irresponsible driving.
i'm so aware that i sound so moany and a lot of people will probably think i'm an idiot but i don't care, i really really don't. i think that a lot of people aren't aware of the consquences, or are unable to comprehend the effects whether they are minor to major of irresponsible driving.
there is so much that could happen whether you're hurting yourself, your passengers, a pedestrian or your car. all of these will cost whether it's life or insurance claims or money.
as an 18 year old, my friends have only been driving for 1/2 years and the amount of car crashes whether injuring/killing an animal, to flipping your car, to minor dents etc i think is pretty high considering the amount of time people have been driving. i'm not saying that these crashes are always the persons fault but i wish people would consider the effect of what might happen if you were to have an accident or loose control of a car.
driving like a twat. basically, there are a lot of versions of the twat driver so let me write down what i find most twattish. driving ridiculously, fast. okay EVERYBODY breaks the speed limit but i think you know what i mean. when you're in somebodys car and you know they are going too fast. i guess some people don't care or it doesn't bother them, but the impact of crashing into a wall or a lampost, or hitting a dog or a child, or hitting uneven surface, how many people think of that when they're driving stupidly? i really doubt a lot of people do. maybe i should have more faith... i do make it a priority to not get in peoples cars who i have heard drive like morons, and if i have gotten into somebodys car and i have not appreciated the way they've driven i make it a point not to drive with them again. saying this, i have a lot of people who i really really trust behind the wheel. in my experience, the twatty drivers are the minority luckily. despite this, sadly for people who drive well it's the other drivers on the road that you have to be careful of.
even if i have gotten in a car with somebody i have felt is going uncomfortably fast, since being in a car crash myself i have finally learnt to just say "can you slow down please? i feel a bit uncomfortable, sorry!" and if the person isn't a twat they will generally understand. equally, it's not always speed that makes a twatty driver. it can be their attitude to driving and taking over people and just stupid dangerous actions.
something else that pisses me off a lot is drink driving/driving whilst stoned or under the influence of another drug. it's so fucking selfish!!! angers me so much. you're not in control and it's so selfish and i hope if you do it you get caught and fucking learn your lesson. i also think it is somebodys personal responsibility to not get into somebodys car if you know they are under the influence, you have to have some sort of responsibility for yourself, and if you choose to get into a drink drivers car then i think you should have your head checked. equally i think people need to take responsibility for putting their seatbelt on, i cant iterate this enough, it can literally save your life, which i have learnt from personal experience as a passenger as you can see in the picture below, woop.
before people look at this picture and jump to the conclusion that this happened whilst driving recklessly, i would also like to add, that this happened when the driver was driving sensibly, if you would adam and eve it. so yeah, if that can happen when driving at the speed limit, imagine what could happen if you were driving too speedy, no seatbelt and not with your normal reactions and speed of reactions. mmpf.
animal cruelty.
so so so so so evil. it makes me so mad. i can remember being in year 8, and me and max haigh having really angry msn names about an RSPCA advert. i think people who abuse their animals are fucking disgusting. animals are completely defenceless in comparison to humans, unable to fight back to physical and mental cruelty. i can't believe somebody could be so sick. one of the most cruel things that actually makes me feel physically sick is seal clubbing. i can't watch anything to do with that, and what they do to animals in like asia, where they eat dog and like, cage cats and the way they are treated, seriously typing this is making me feel physically sick. ick. honestly i cry at all animals because i think most animals so cute and adorable and it makes me saddd that not all animals are happy haha. i know i should probably care more about humans but i can't help it, so sue me.
